Heat pump and refr igerating machine basically work on o ne and the same principle and with the sa me components. Heat pump is a machine which delivers heat at a temperature suit able for Domestic, Industrial and com mercial purpose.
To achive useful heat out put through the heat pump, it extracts h eat from low grade heat source like air, wate r etc. By added work input from the m otor or engine it extracts heat from low gr ade source. In many circumstances heat pumps can made valuable contribution to energy conservation. The majority of h eat pumps on the vapour compression cycl e using a refrigerant as working fluid.
MECHANICAL HEAT P UMP is sealed R-134a refrigerant syst em using water to water heat pumping principle. The equipment produces realistic results and have low thermal intertia so th at unit stabilises very quickly and enables student’s maximum experimentati on.
